The center conducts its activities mainly in New York and in North Carolina. Vartika Dubey, phd is the main Yoga teacher and day-to-day operations manager for the center and mainly conducts the activities in New York. The on-site Yoga teacher in North Carolina is Mercedes Stewart CY.ED.

The Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute was founded by Swami Kuvalayananda in 1924. The institute has been increasing public awareness of the ancient wisdom of Sage Patanjali’s treatises on Yoga, Ayurveda and Sanskrit grammer. Through rigorous scientific investigations on Yogic practices the Kaivalyadhama has made Yoga more accepted and accessible to modern man. Due to the Kaivalyadhama’s great efforts, Yoga is now taught in the school systems of India from elementary school through the university level.

Yoga is an ancient discipline that has evolved over the centuries and was formulated into the Yoga Sutras by Sage Patanjali. Yoga is a discipline that addresses both our physical and mental states. It is a system that acknowledges the interdependence of the mind and body. Yoga trains the body to be “sthitipragnya”: a state where the body is at utmost ease. Yoga also trains the mind to be undisturbed by external stimuli.
Kaivalyadhama, USA offers a variety of regular Yoga classes for beginning and advanced students. Individual classes are also available. Weekend workshops on Yoga are offered throughout the year in varying locations. We also contract with businesses and corporations for employee’s needs. Based on demand, we offer special classes such as, vegetarian cooking, massage, accupressure and guest speakers.
Fees vary for individual classes, workshops and courses. Corporate or business contracts are based on corporate rates or are determined by the business. All fees are payable on the first day of class. Please ask for our 10% senior citizen discount.
Admission is granted irrespective of age, sex, religion or race. Medical conditions may however preclude an individual from participating in a class.
There will be no refund or credit if a student misses a class. However, a credit will be given if the Yoga center cancels a class.
